About Us
|
Red Ledge Kennels currently
resides in Pelham, NH. We focus mainly on AKC rally, obedience, and agility; those being
our favorite events. We used to show in 4-H but aged out. We are not a
breeding kennel, this is just a site devoted to my dogs and the work I've done
with them.
We are home to one Brittany and now a Sheltie puppy! I first started
training and showing dogs somewhere in 1997.

How
We Got Started
I grew up around dogs, training, grooming, and taking care of
them. I was always happy to take a dog for a walk or brush them
out. I was 8 years old when I first got my own dog. He was a male
Maltese pup named Andy [Ragmop’s Wagglin’ Andy CGC, (4-H
Titles: CD, Ch, & CGC)]. Andy and I
became very active in 4-H. Once he turned a year old, we entered
in some AKC matches and a few shows. Andy wasn’t
“breed quality” but he was an awesome dog and I loved him. At
our first match, there were about 18 other Juniors in my class, Novice Junior. Andy
did awesome that day, as we both took 2nd.
Later we competed in Obedience and did pretty well. We never showed
much in juniors, mostly focusing on 4-H, Agility, and Obedience. |

A little later on in Andy’s life, a Scottie attacked him
after his long down in the Obedience ring. Thankfully he was not
physically harmed, but Andy became ring
shy. I had loved Brittanys; I thought that they were just the best dogs. I
had taken good care of Andy, and I had time for a pup, so my parents said
that I could get a puppy. After some months and weeks of
waiting, I got my first Britt, a male named
Flash
(Triumphant’s Flash
Forward RA CD CGC). My passion for Britts and dogs stayed, so after some
years I
decided to start a kennel of my own; Red Ledge Kennels. I am pleased
to announce our latest addition: "puppy"
Here at Red Ledge Kennels we take pride in our dogs and their
accomplishments. All of our dogs have a special place and roll in our
Kennel and hearts. We are proud to have dogs that are trustworthy and
obedient. Dogs that we can take any where and will behave their selves.
All of our dogs live in the house with us and are part of the family. At
Red Ledge Kennels, we strive for a dog with a great temperament and
soundness. We are not a breeding kennel, however.
